International Occupational Safety and Health Information Center (IOSHIC) performs programme for the promotion of preventive measures promulgation for occupational diseases etc, based on recent information. The responsibility for its operation is assigned by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. The implementation of this program is delegated to the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, Japan (JNIOSH).
To consider and promote occupational safety and health, we need to refer scientific knowledge obtained from both domestic and international study and foreign regulations etc.. By inviting specialists from EU and the US and convening workshops, we collect and analyze recent risk information of international occupational safety and health and regulation measures. Putting out the consequence through seminar, publication and homepage, we aim to contribute to Japanese administrative purpose and promote the level of occupational safety and health.
